Karen Winter

Karen joined Informa Tech in January 2021 from Taylor & Francis, where she was Director of Continuous Improvement. Currently working on the implementation of continuous improvement at Informa Tech, and working with the Operations leadership team to drive excellence in the Ops functions Karen is passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence, and a keen advocate of transparency, collaboration, effective use of data and evidence-based decision making.

Having qualified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Karen is committed to making this mysterious-sounding discipline accessible and relevant. At Taylor & Francis Karen created an introductory-level Lean Six Sigma training program (the White Belt) with supporting toolkit, which is now being rolled out to colleagues in Informa Tech.

Karen is an Exec Sponsor of the All Informa Career Ambitions Network (iCAN). For most of her career Karen has worked in academic and professional publishing both developing and project managing print and digital products for social sciences, criminology and medicine. In addition Karen has also worked in roles within editorial, production, marketing, and operations. Karen is an experienced leader of operational projects and systems implementations, using Lean Six Sigma and Agile.
